Exactly What Is St. Michael Lutheran?

St. Michael is a community of people dedicated to serving the people and community where we live, work, play, and worship.  We consider it a gift from God to welcome new visitors to this vibrant ministry community.  Our work with the community has shown us that the Moncks Corner area is a diverse community, with people who have many different worship needs.  Whatever your worship style and faith background, there is a place for you here at St. Michael.

Don’t Panic!

Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-wracking!  Where do you go?  What do you wear?  Where do you park?  What time should I be there?  Are kids included??  All these questions create anxiety when worship should be peaceful.  To help with that, we put together some test drive info so that you know what to expect.  We believe that no one should have to feel uncomfortable when they really need a chance to relax and reconnect with God.

Visiting St. Michael: tl;dr Edition

Question Answer
Where do I go? The main entrance to the church is on the backside of the building, along with the parking lot.  This is an accessible entrance.
Where do I park? The main parking lot is behind the church.  The entrance driveway is the one closest to Berkeley High School.
What do I wear? Any clothes you want because we don’t believe that God has a dress code.
What time should I be there?  9:30 AM on Sundays for Coffee Fellowship, 11:00 AM for worship & 6:00 PM on Wednesdays for prayer circle and Bible study.
Are kids included? We never ask you to send your kids to a different place.  We believe kids belong in worship and that family worship is pleasing to God.
Do I have to turn off my cell phone? Why would we do that to you?
What if I have more questions??? Give the office a call at 843-761-4228, email us at parishadmin@stmichaelmc.org, message us on Facebook, come by the office, or scroll down for more info.  No question is too silly to ask if you have it.
